I’m a pastor, musician, and author writing For What Comes Next—knowing I won’t see how this story ends.

This is my attempt to look without flinching at America’s fracture and future—and to ask how we live truthfully and mercifully inside it.

Alongside the essays, I share music—mostly piano and ambient pieces—not as commentary, but as space.

🎧 Who I Am:

I’m John Hamilton—a writer, musician, and pastor.

I’ve lived a few lives: playing in bands, writing ad campaigns, serving in a parish, and trying to make sense of faith as it unraveled and re-formed.

I wrote Honest to God (2024) out of that collapse.

Now I’m writing For What Comes Next from the other side of it—or at least, a little further along.

This space is where those threads come together.
